About Us

PictureJennifer & Steve Black

Heartwinds Farm is owned and operated by Jennifer and Steve Black.  It is a small private family owned and operated horse farm where horses are part of the family.

We focus our attention on riding, training, and competing in the sport of Reined Cow Horses and Ranch Horse events.

Jennifer Black (formerly Jennifer Casey) grew up in the saddle from the age of 3, eventually co-owned and operated Becher's Brook Equestrian Center in Dover, Delaware for more than 15 years.  Known for its expansive 100' x 200' indoor arena, Becher's Brook had an active lesson program specializing in hunters.

But her heart now lies with her Quarter Horses and competing in Reined Cow Horse Shows, and is a lifetime member of the AQHA, and member of the ARCHA (Atlantic Reined Cow Horse Association) and the NRCHA (National Reined Cow Horse Association).

Steve Black's love of the horses developed as a shared interest with Jennifer's and the two began by trail riding together until they were introduced to the Cow Horse World in 2015.  They now spend free weekends competing in Reined Cow Horse Shows, riding and clinics!

Steve is a member in AQHA, ARCHA, and the NRCHA and competes in Reined Cow Horse Events.

Jen and Steve were married at their prior farm in Harrisburg with the horses, family and friends as witnesses, which makes it even more special to them.
The farm is HOME to them, the horses, and their other 4 legged  "kids", Sammie and Betsy!
